Due to continued rising costs of goods across the board in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry, we have had to make some decisions on which preventatives to continue to carry in-house and which ones to move to our online pharmacy:

Once our stock on hand is depleted, we will no longer be stocking Heartgard or Nexgard for dogs or Revolution Plus for cats.

We will continue to carry Tri-Heart Plus and Bravecto for dogs, as well as Nexgard Combo for cats, as we believe these products offer the most value to our patients without carrying a higher price tag to our clients. We don't ever want cost to be a barrier in a pet receiving preventative care.

Tech appointments can be made daily from 8:30am-11:45am and from 3pm-5:50pm. Please note that during lunch time hours of 12pm-2pm, the only service available will be medication pickup, with the exception of controlled medications. Please always call before planning a visit over lunch just to make sure a receptionist is here =) We are usually closed for lunch every Friday.

Third-Party Pharmacy Policy

Texas Republic Veterinary Hospital will not prescribe medications for online pharmacies over the phone, facsimile or email.  We will be happy to provide written prescriptions to our clients when requested to do so once we have verified a valid client-patient relationship (as required by law), and the client has signed a third-party prescription waiver. As our client you will be able to either pick up the written prescription or we will be happy to email it to you, but please know that some pharmacies will not accept photocopies. You may then submit this written prescription to any pharmacy of your choosing. We encourage all pet owners to think of their pets as “fur people.” Consider the safety pros and cons of their medications in the same light as you would for your own.
